Meet the Founder
Jason W. Whiteley, Esq., PMP
Jason Whiteley attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Armor branch. Jason was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas as part of the First Cavalry Division from 1999-2005. Ultimately attaining the rank of Captain, Jason deployed with Joint Task Force-Bravo to Honduras and Colombia, and later with First Cavalry to South Baghdad as part of OIF II. Among numerous awards, Jason’s action in combat earned him the Bronze Star.
After leaving the Army in 2005, Jason attended Georgetown University, where he earned both his law degree and his Master of Science in Finance. After graduation, Jason began his legal career with Kirkland & Ellis in their London office. From there Jason spent the next 10 years building his legal expertise in private equity M&A, with a particular focus on industrial and infrastructure service-oriented sponsors. His career ultimately led him back to Houston and then later to New York to help lead the energy private equity efforts for DLA Piper.
In 2019, Jason formed Batson Prairie Capital and closed his first deal as an independent sponsor. Since then Jason has continued to generate value by investing in American infrastructure service and manufacturing businesses.
